COMMAND X
Back in 2019, I was chosen alongside 5 other up and coming designers to compete in the 2020 edition of Command X at the AIGA conference. Unfortunately, due to bad timing and a global pandemic Command X was postponed a year and moved to a virtual format. During the competition we were given a week to completely rebrand Zoom. After presenting the first challenge, we were then given just 24 hours to create a campaign to fight misinformation about climate change.

SNIPER ADVERTISING
Because of big data, it’s possible to know every single aspect of your life. Advertisers can tell if you have a certain medical condition based on your search history. Back in 2021, sniper advertising was a relatively unknown technique where by setting detailed parameters and using big data, an ad could be created that would target one specific individual.
Each ad personally attacked the consumer by using the same disinformation strategies that were being used by Exxon. I wanted people to have a gutteral reaction to the ad so when they clicked it, they will be directed to a microsite explaining how to recognize misinformation and learn to combat it.
For the competition, I created ads of strangers I knew would be tuning in by finding the event RSVP list and combing through their social media.
